Veteran’s Day Holiday

The preschool Fussypants attends recognizes the Veteran’s Day holiday, thus are closed tomorrow. Hunky hubby has to work so I took a vacation day. When I asked Fussypants what he wanted to do, he said “go to the park”. I asked him which park and he replied, “the swing park”. Our options are open…as long as the park has swings.

Happy Veteran’s Day to all. Here is an interesting website, with a history of Veteran’s Day: http://www1.va.gov/opa/vetsday/vetdayhistory.asp

There really is more to it than school, bank, and post office closures. This day is “A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.”

Thank you to all those that have served and are serving to make our country safe. We will honor you on the swing set.
