This week one of Mama Kat’s Writer Workshop prompts is “Describe a happy reunion” and I was going to finally write about meeting my birth parents and extended family but I find I am at a loss for words. Meeting my birth family holds no negativity for me and I can verbalize my experiences eloquently but every time I try to write about it, I’m stumped. I am disappointed that I failed this writer’s workshop but revel in the fact that it’s a challenge I can attempt again.

  1. Don't beat yourself up about it, maybe you're just not ready to put your thoughts to paper (as it were).

I know it's a very personal journey, but one that I would love to read about sometime.

    When you're ready…

That Mama Kat always gets me thinking too.
