Friday’s Child…

A friend of mine is in labor with her second baby today and her babe is early so it got me thinking about when I had Little Miss…who also arrived early and on a Friday, which then made me remember a little poem/nursery rhyme from years back:

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

Fussypants was born on a Tuesday and Little Miss on a Friday. Grace, loving and giving are nice words to describe my little blessings!

I was born on a Thursday and have come a long way already, baby…but am looking forward to what’s next.

So far, so good!

Happy Friday,

  1. I have had that poem memorized from the time I could read. It was in one of my favorite nursery rhyme books. When Baby G. was born (on a Friday), I couldn't wait to compare her personality to her birth day.
Baby A. was a Sunday surprise (a day before my scheduled C-Section) & she is truly a Sunday child.

You & hubby sure make some beautiful kids my friend.

  2. I was born on a Saturday. I guess being a SAHM qualifies. :) I'm a little worried about my boys though. They were born on a Wednesday.

  3. I was born on a Monday.

Ryder is delicious. Newborns are so fascinating. I hope you get to meet him soon.

  4. Korie, thank you!

Sonora, my hubby and my mom were born on Wednesdays but turned out ok!

Tonya, so bummed I could not get to Hoag on Monday. Gonna go visit next week tho!
